As the winter solstice looms once again, I am happy for the long, dark nights and cozy suppers. Grateful to choose gifts for those I love, wrap them near a tree full of lights, inhale the scent of fir branches. Thankful that this seasonal cycle continues from year to year, regardless of who believes themselves to be in charge.
As we come out the other side of the longest night of the year and tilt back toward more light, I am grateful for the community of readers and writers that I’m connected to here at One Minnesota Writer.
Happy holidays to all. See you in January. - Kathleen
